BVA/KC Official Eye Testing with Dr Neil Geddes
Our eye tests for adult dogs are done in a 20minute consultation with Neil Geddes as Kirkcaldy Vets for Pets (within Pets at Home) and cost £72 for an eye test. Some breeds require Gonioscopy in addition which costs £72 per dog.
Please bring:
- Original Registration Documents: Your dog’s original A5 Green Kennel Club or ISDS Owner Registration Certificate.
- Previous Eye Certificates: If your dog has been screened before, bring all previous BVA eye test certificates.
- Microchip Details: Your dog must be microchipped, and the microchip number will be scanned to match the KC records. Make sure your contact details on the microchip database are up-to-date.
Arrive Early: Plan to arrive at least 20 to 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. The vet or nurse will need this time to administer eye drops to dilate your dog’s pupils and fill out the initial paperwork.
Please contact us for dates of when Neil is available to perform eye testing. The eye tests are only done in the afternoons on certain Tuesdays.
When making your booking, please book a follow up consultation and in the box “pets name” please write “eye-test” after your pets name so we can ensure we are prepared for you.
